Citizen Science:
Since 2023 we have been tracking our bird sightings on eBird during our hikes. We have also been
recording observations of plants, fungi, and animals on iNaturalist.
eBird 2023: We saw 134
species during our hikes in 2023 including a peregrine falcon, a great-horned owl,
a red-headed woodpecker, a scarlet tanager, and 16 warbler species.
eBird 2024:
We saw 125 species during our hikes in 2024 including a pileated woodpecker, an american bittern, a broad
-winged hawk, a yellow-bellied sapsucker and 21 warbler species.
iNaturalist PFN Project:
By the end of 2024 we have made 559 observations for a total of 323 species. These
include plants, fungi, insects, turtles, frogs, mammals, birds, snails, and fish.
